Getting ready fora sensory-friendly Santa visit at Douglas County Libraries.
A holiday story, an activity and a sensory-friendly visit with Santa at two Douglas County library branches in December, made for neurodiverse kids and their families, with smaller crowds and a slower pace. Register ahead with a short form.
“Enjoy a holiday story, fun activity, and a special sensory-friendly visit with Santa.”
“The event is designed for neurodiverse children and their families who may benefit from a quieter, more relaxed holiday experience with smaller crowds and a slower pace.”
The library's online form asks for your name, email and phone, plus the names and ages of the children coming; a library card number is optional. It has a box for questions, a good place to mention anything your kid needs.
Highlands Ranch Library also has the Healthy Critters Vet Clinic play area for kids, if your kid wants to play before or after.
