Getting ready for a game at Empower Field.

A big stadium, with free KultureCity sensory bags and a sensory room inside Gate 6. There is no re-entry, so the breaks happen inside. Here is the quiet way through it, in the stadium's own words.

Empower Field at Mile High

1701 Bryant Street, Denver 80204 · Open for ticketed events only. Broncos games: gates open 2 hours before kickoff (the stadium suggests arriving 1 hour early), parking lots 4.5 hours before. Holiday closures: not stated; one home game is on Dec 25.

When it's quieter

In their own words empowerfieldatmilehigh.com

“The sensory rooms will be open for all major events taking place at Empower Field at Mile High.”

“Empower Field at Mile High is proud to partner with KultureCity to provide sensory bags for guests with sensory needs.”

Our note The stadium names no quieter time; it opens for events only. In this window every event is a Broncos game: Sun Nov 1 (2:25 pm), Sun Nov 22 (2:25 pm), Sun Dec 6 (2:05 pm), Fri Dec 25 (2:30 pm), and Jan 9 or 10, 2027 (time not set yet).

Our note The sensory rooms are promised for all major events. The page makes no such promise for the sensory bags.

Our note The stadium doesn't describe crowd noise, flyovers, fireworks or cannon fire. The sensory room inside Gate 6 is the one quiet space open to every ticketholder.

Three things to know

  1. Free KultureCity sensory bags at each Guest Relations Center: noise-cancelling headphones, fidget tools and a non-verbal communication card. Photo ID required at checkout.
  2. A KultureCity Sensory Room for all ticketholders is inside Gate 6, Lower Concourse; check in at the Guest Relations Center near Section 121. A second room (Plaza Level, by Suite 233) is for suite and club tickets only.
  3. No re-entry. Once you leave the stadium you can't come back in, so breaks happen inside.
More: tickets, parking, bags, first aid, restrooms, a wristband

Named by the stadium; it publishes no noise scale and names no louder spots

  • First aid: Main Concourse across from Section 122, and Upper Concourse near Section 534.
  • Family restrooms with changing tables on Levels 1, 3 and 5. Nursing rooms need a code from Guest Relations. Elevators are at the 50-yard line, east and west sides.

More ways to get ready for the game

What to expect

Phone tickets at the gate, then screening with a clear bag. At a Guest Relations Center a grown-up shows a photo ID and borrows a sensory bag with headphones, fidgets and a communication card; you can also get a wristband with your seat number. The sensory room for all ticketholders is inside Gate 6 on the Lower Concourse. Once you leave the stadium you can't come back in. Change anything.

One tip from a dad who's been there

Pack a clear bag and a photo ID the night before. Stop at Guest Relations near Section 121 first for the sensory bag and a wristband, and find the sensory room inside Gate 6 before kickoff. Leaving early still counts as a game day.

Common questions

What if my child won't look at the schedule or story?

That is common at first. Leave it where the moment happens, point to one picture at a time, and keep it low-pressure. Many kids warm up to it after a few calm tries, in their own time.
