A town-run snow tubing hill in Frisco with a moving carpet lift and one-hour sessions. Frisco calls tubing “an inclusive activity” and says staff will help, even riding along the whole time if you ask.
Know before you go. Frisco doesn't list sensory hours, but its own accessibility section invites you to ask for help and offers a staff member for your whole hour.

Space
The carpet lift “can be challenging for anyone with mobility or balance limitations,” and there's “a way to allow these individuals to ride up the carpet lift while seated in their tube.” Ask the bottom attendant. townoffrisco.com
Crowds
“Weekends and holidays are very busy and sell out quickly.” “Snag reservations for a weekday if possible.” townoffrisco.com
Waits
“The tubing hill is often fully booked and typically cannot accommodate guests who arrive late.” “Your session time starts with or without you.” townoffrisco.com
Rules
“My child is scared, can I tube with them? Each tube is a single tube and each person rides in their own tube, but depending on conditions, we may allow groups of up to 4 tubes to travel down the lane together.” townoffrisco.com
Sound
Everyone watches “a 3 minute safety video” before tubing. “If you or anyone in your group needs audial or visual accommodations, please let us know upon check-in.” townoffrisco.com
“Pro tip: Don't just show up hoping to go skiing or tubing or to take a sleigh ride or you'll be out of luck. Snag reservations for a weekday if possible.”
Our note Arrive 30 minutes early so check-in, the waiver and the video aren't rushed.
Our note An adult has to go through check-in and the safety briefing with kids, even if the adult isn't tubing. Kids under 8 tube with a ticketed adult.
Three things to know
Reservations are required, for one-hour slots. $44 per hour; $55 per hour on holidays (Nov 26 to 29, Dec 17 to Jan 4, Jan 15 to 18, Feb 12 to 15, Mar 8 to 22).
Riders must be at least 36 inches tall and able to ride a tube on their own. One rider per tube, no laps.
Cancel by 5 pm the day before by email or phone, or pay $10 per person per hour. Each person signs a waiver once a season, and kids go on a parent's waiver.
What it doesn't list
sensory hours or a quieter session
a quiet room (the Day Lodge has a fireplace and restrooms)
You reserve a one-hour session ahead, sign the waiver online, and check in at the Day Lodge. Everyone watches a 3-minute safety video, then rides the carpet lift to the top. Each person rides their own tube; depending on conditions, up to 4 tubes may go down together. If the carpet lift is hard for your kid, ask the bottom attendant about riding up seated in the tube. Change anything.
Common questions
What if my child won't look at the schedule or story?
That is common at first. Leave it where the moment happens, point to one picture at a time, and keep it low-pressure. Many kids warm up to it after a few calm tries, in their own time.
