Getting ready for The Lincoln Center.

Fort Collins' city-run performing arts center, with the Performance Hall and the smaller Magnolia Theatre. It takes accommodation requests by email or form before you buy, and every seating map shows which sections you can reach without stairs.

Know before you go. The Lincoln Center doesn't list sensory-friendly performances or a quiet room. It does take accommodation requests. Here's what it says.

Asking for help, in The Lincoln Center's words

In their own words lctix.com

“At The Lincoln Center, we want everyone to enjoy and participate in the performing arts. We offer a range of accessibility services to accommodate patrons with diverse needs.”

Our note If your kid uses a tablet to talk or calm down, ask the access team before the show how the no-devices rule applies.

Our note The Reasonable Accommodation form is the place to ask for an aisle seat, a quieter section or a spot to take breaks.

Three things to know

  1. For LC LIVE shows, single-ticket buyers can exchange into another show the same season for a $5 fee, at least 24 hours ahead. Any leftover amount isn't refunded.
  2. Park in The Lincoln Center lot at Mulberry and Meldrum or the Mulberry Pool lot. Cars in the posted no-parking lots east of the building “will be towed.”
  3. Accessible parking and a curbside drop-off are at the corner of S. Mulberry St. and W. Magnolia St., with a courtesy wheelchair for getting inside.

What it doesn't list

  • sensory-friendly or relaxed performances
  • a quiet room
  • sensory kits or headphones to borrow
  • a social story
  • a re-entry rule

To ask about any of these, call 970-221-6730.

What to expect

Email the access team or call the box office before you buy if your kid needs anything. Every person needs a ticket, even a baby on a lap. Park in the lot at Mulberry and Meldrum or the Mulberry Pool lot, not the posted lots to the east. Phones go off once the show starts, and photos are only allowed outside the theaters. There's an all-inclusive restroom in the South Lobby. Change anything.

Common questions

What if my child won't look at the schedule or story?

That is common at first. Leave it where the moment happens, point to one picture at a time, and keep it low-pressure. Many kids warm up to it after a few calm tries, in their own time.

Can I make this in Spanish?

Yes. Every tool and this page exist in Spanish, and the printed page comes out in the language you choose. Use the language switch at the top.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no signup, and we don’t keep what you type; anything you save stays on your device. Make it, print it, done.
