Colorado College's ice arena at 849 N. Tejon Street, home of CC varsity hockey. It's an ice rink, typically around 60 degrees, bags must be clear, and once your ticket is scanned and you leave the building, you can't come back in.
Know before you go. Ed Robson Arena doesn't list sensory-friendly games or a quiet room. Here's what it does say about the cold, bags, breaks and restrooms.
Hours
For CC varsity hockey games and other ticketed events (unless otherwise noted), doors open one hour before the scheduled start time. For non-ticketed events, the event host shares opening and closing times.
“Ed Robson Arena is an ice rink and can be very cold at times. If you are attending an event, please come prepared as the arena is typically around 60 degrees Fahrenheit year-round.”
“There is no re-admittance for guests that depart the arena building after their tickets have been scanned before, during or after the game is over for any reason.”
“For the safety and enjoyment of all guests during hockey games, we ask guests to keep the aisles clear while the puck is in play.” At CC varsity games, ushers remind guests when the puck is in play, and guests wait until the right time to go back to their seats.
Guests go through a contactless security screening at CC varsity hockey games and other events as determined by the event organizer. “During the screening, guests will be asked to display the contents of any approved bags.”
Single-stall all-gender restrooms: one on the Ground Level next to the Arena Services desk; on the Concourse Level, “Two single-stall all-gender restrooms located behind section 108” and a “Single-stall all-gender restroom located next to the Chapman Room”; on the Club Level, “Two single-stall all-gender restrooms located behind the Press Box.” “All restrooms at Ed Robson Arena are equipped for use by individuals with a disability.”
“Air horns, whistles” are first on the arena's list of prohibited items.
“Strollers are allowed into the arena. Should they not fold and fit under the seat, they should be left at Guest Services during an event.”
Because there's no re-admittance once your ticket is scanned, plan breaks inside the building, like a walk on the concourse.
If a shared restroom is hard for your kid, the single-stall all-gender restrooms are listed below, on every level.
Arena staff offer tours free of charge, based on availability, but not on CC varsity hockey game days or during other large events. A tour on a quiet day can be a practice run; call 719-389-7065 or use the arena's contact page to arrange one.
No re-admittance: once your ticket is scanned, if you leave the arena building, you can't come back in, for any reason.
Clear bags at events, unless stated otherwise: one clear tote up to 12 by 12 by 6 inches per person. The arena doesn't check or hold bags that don't meet the policy.
Air horns and whistles aren't allowed in. Water bottles, empty or filled, aren't allowed either.
Accessible parking is on all levels of the attached garage but is limited and first come, first served, with a state-issued accessible parking permit or license plate. During CC varsity hockey games, only guests with a valid Gold Lots parking pass can park in the accessible spots in the garage and the other Gold Zone lots, and single-game parking passes aren't sold. Garage directions: 110 E. Dale Street, entered from E. Dale Street.
Without a parking pass on CC varsity hockey game days, the arena suggests non-permitted street parking around the arena. There's a drop-off and pick-up spot right outside the main entrance at N. Tejon Street and Cache La Poudre Street. The Zeb downtown shuttle stops at N. Tejon and Dale Streets, across the street, and all its buses are wheelchair-lift equipped.
There's no box office at the arena. CC hockey tickets are sold online only at cctigers.com/tickets and are digital. For accessible seats at a CC varsity hockey game, email Harris Varnum, Director of Ticket Operations, at hvarnum2023@coloradocollege.edu as soon as possible; seats are limited and may not be possible on game day.
Wheelchair and accessible seating, with one companion seat, is on both levels: Concourse Level Sections 105, 111, 112 and 120, and Club Level Sections 202 and 206. Seats with no stairs for guests with limited mobility: Concourse Level Sections 101, 102, 103, 104, 106, 107, 108 and 109, and Club Level Sections 201, 202, 206 and 207.
Trained emergency personnel are onsite for every major event. The first aid area is typically within Guest Services, on the southwest corner of the concourse.
There are three elevators: the main one in the northwest corner near the main entrance, and two reached from the parking structure entrances. Electrical outlets for recharging wheelchairs and other medical equipment are available; ask any arena staff member. For disability-related assistance or accessibility questions, email RobsonArena@ColoradoCollege.edu.
For guests who need them for hearing, assisted listening devices are free, first come, first served, at the Guest Services desk; you leave a valid photo ID until you return the device.
Baby changing tables are in the Ground Level female-identifying restroom, both sets of male- and female-identifying restrooms on the Concourse and Club levels, and both Club Level all-gender single restrooms. You can bring baby food, snacks, formula, pumps and bottles in a non-clear diaper bag up to 12 by 12 by 6 inches, with a child. There are no dedicated nursing or pumping rooms.
Concessions are cashless. Service animals are always permitted to assist individuals with disabilities.
