Getting ready for the Broadmoor World Arena.

The Broadmoor World Arena on Venetucci Boulevard in Colorado Springs. Every visit starts with walk-through metal detectors, only small bags get in, and once you leave, you can't come back in.

Know before you go. The Broadmoor World Arena doesn't list sensory-friendly events or a quiet room. Here's what it does say about getting in, bags and breaks.

Hours

Open for events only. On event days the Box Office opens at 10 am and stays open until the event starts; it's closed on non-event days.

3185 Venetucci Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906

What to expect

  • Waits

The arena uses walk-through metal detectors. “When you arrive, please allow yourself some extra time to clear the detectors and take your seats before the show.”

  • Waits

“For the quickest entry, we recommend using the entrances off Geyser Dr. and Bob Johnson Dr.” Venetucci Blvd. is the busiest entrance to the lot.

  • Rules

“The Broadmoor World Arena has a no re-entry policy. Guests may not leave the facility and re-enter on event days.”

  • Rules

“NO large bags, backpacks, or purses will be permitted into the venue.” Allowed: small purses or clutches and clear plastic bags up to 12 by 5 by 12 inches, “Medically necessary items that have been inspected by security,” and “Small diaper bags.”

  • Sound

“Bullhorns/whistles or noise makers” are on the list of items that can't be brought in.

  • Space

“Most restrooms in The Broadmoor World Arena have diaper-changing stations available and are accessible to persons with disabilities. The facility also has family restrooms on the main concourse level by Gates A & C.”

  • Rules

“Strollers are not permitted in the seating sections of the arena.”

  • Smell

“The designated smoking area is located at Gate C.”

  • Because there's no re-entry, the concourse is your break space. Walk it with your kid on the way in so you both know where the restrooms and Guest Services are.
  • iPads aren't allowed in. If your kid talks with an iPad, call 719-477-2100 before the event to ask whether it counts as a medically necessary item.

For interpreting services, contact Kyle Hamman at (719) 477-2151 or khamman@broadmoorworldarena.com no later than three weeks before the event. For events with more than one show date or time, one performance is the interpreted one.
  • Pets and animals aren't allowed, except service animals and guide dogs. The designated smoking area is at Gate C.
