Getting ready for the Flying W Ranch Cowboy Christmas Jubilee.

A chuckwagon Christmas dinner and live western music show in Colorado Springs, all indoors in the Mountain Stream Lodge, with performances through December. You eat at long shared tables, then the Flying W Wranglers and an orchestra play Christmas songs.

Know before you go. The ranch doesn't list a sensory-friendly show. Here's what it does say about the tables, the dinner line, the music and the lights.

Seating, in the ranch's words

In their own words flyingw.com

“We make every effort to seat guests with wheelchairs on the end of a table.”

Our note Ending up at the end of a table makes breaks easier. It's worth asking for when you book, even without a wheelchair.

Our note If flashing lights are a concern for your kid, call 719-598-4000 and ask about strobe effects before you buy.

Three things to know

  1. 2026 Christmas tickets: $70 general admission, $35 children 4 to 12, plus tax and a small fee. Children 3 and under are free, sit on a lap and eat from the grown-up's plate.
  2. “No refunds. No exchanges.” You can move your tickets to another date for free up to 5 days ahead, if there are seats.
  3. Vegetarian and gluten-free meals can be chosen when you book. Drinks are water and tea, and the menu lists “fully loaded hot chocolate for the kids.”

What it doesn't list

  • a sensory-friendly show
  • a quiet room
  • sensory kits or headphones to borrow
  • a social story
  • which songs use strobe effects

To ask about any of these, call 719-598-4000.

What to expect

One grown-up checks in with the name on the reservation and gets your table number. Tables seat up to 18, so you may share with another family. When your table number is called, you go through the dinner line and carry your plate back. After dinner and dessert, the band and orchestra play. The ranch says it sometimes uses strobe effects during the music. Change anything.

Common questions

What if my child won't look at the schedule or story?

That is common at first. Leave it where the moment happens, point to one picture at a time, and keep it low-pressure. Many kids warm up to it after a few calm tries, in their own time.

Can I make this in Spanish?

Yes. Every tool and this page exist in Spanish, and the printed page comes out in the language you choose. Use the language switch at the top.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no signup, and we don’t keep what you type; anything you save stays on your device. Make it, print it, done.
