“Join us for an interactive storytime designed to include children with learning and sensory differences. Ideal for children ages 3-12 and their parents or caregivers. All abilities are welcome.”
The Sensory Accommodations Kit is for any library visit, not only storytime: ask at the Service Desk.
The sensory video tours are a playlist called Sensory Video Tours of PPLD, linked from the library's Autism Acceptance page as Library Sensory Tour videos.
Sensory Storytime is held at Library 21c, East Library and Penrose Library on the dates below. Look at the library's Sensory Storytime events list for the newest dates.
Penrose Library parking: scan a physical library card at the kiosks for two hours of parking each day; after that it's $1.50 an hour, and the lot gates lock when the library is closed.
Accommodation requests or questions: email accessibility@ppld.org, call (719) 531-6333, x7260, use the PPLD Accessibility Requests and Questions form, or visit any library. The library aims to respond within two business days.
Each storytime listing names a staff contact for that session.
