A sensory friendly night at ElectriCritters, the Pueblo Zoo's holiday light show, in Pueblo, south of Colorado Springs, with smaller crowds, softer music and less blinking lights.
Sensory supports. Softer music, less blinking lights, smaller crowds.
Hours
ElectriCritters nights run 5:30 to 8:30 pm, with last admission at 8 pm. The daytime zoo, October to April, is open daily 9 am to 4 pm, with the exception of major holidays.
“An evening at ElectriCritters designed for guests with sensory sensitivities and their families. This means smaller crowds, softer music, less blinking lights, and fellow visitors comprised of sensory supportive community members.”
“Experience over 150 animated creatures with more than 150,000 lights and new displays!”
“No refunds. Event will run snow, rain, or starry night!”
The Sensory Friendly Night has its own Buy Now listing in the zoo's online store, under ElectriCritters. Buying online saves the $1.00 in-person increase.
The zoo map (Visitor Guide & Map) has a Sensory Guide key with symbols for Loud Noises, Strong Smells and Confined Spaces, and it marks First Aid/AED, restrooms and drinking fountains.
On ElectriCritters nights, the train is weather-dependent.
