Sensory help, in the arena's words

“The Willie and Elsa Wu sensory room is located on Terrace Level across from section 330/331 and will be open for all events taking place at American Airlines Center.”

“Sensory bags, equipped with noise canceling headphones (provided by Puro Sound Labs), fidget tools, verbal cue cards (produced in conjunction with Boardmaker) and weighted lap pads have been available to all guests at Guest Relations outside Section 104 who may feel overwhelmed by the environment.”

“every year, staff are trained by leading medical professionals on how to recognize those guests and fans with sensory needs and how to handle a sensory overload situation.”

  • The sensory room has adjustable lighting, calming visuals and comfortable seating, with sensory tools like bubble walls, Yogibo bean bags and tactile objects. It's designed to be fully accessible, including for wheelchairs.
  • Before an event, the free KultureCity App shows the arena's sensory features and where to find them.
  • Lost children are taken to Guest Relations by Section 104. You can register your child with Guest Relations before the event starts for a wristband with your contact information.
